May 30, 2024: In a recent article published in Wastewater Digest titled “Solids Management at a Crossroads: Solutions in an Age of Uncertainty,” the authors explore the challenges facing the traditional outlets for biosolids and emerging technologies that are being developed to navigate a shifting regulatory landscape. With incineration, landfilling and land application all under unprecedented pressure including PFAS and other emerging contaminants, odor emissions, etc, “…thermal conversion technologies are likely to play a part in the future of wastewater solids management, particularly for areas subject to high concentrations that cannot be mitigated by other means.”

This is the latest in a line of industry thought pieces on the critical need to bring emerging biosolids management technologies to commercial scale… and we are doing just that! With Earthcare’s Bethel, PA facility nearing full-scale operations with the capacity to process 60,000 wet tons of biosolids annually, our flagship facility is but the first in a growing line of regional facilities under development. We are excited to be able to bring this circular solution to what is quickly becoming a national issue.
