Mike has over 20 years of experience in all facets of gasification technology.  A graduate of the prestigious Colorado School of Mines, Mike’s career began as a mining management professional both in underground and surface operations where he also provided leadership in operational and financial turnarounds for organizations previously scheduled for closure.  In the early 2000s, Mike developed a design for thermal gasification relative to the coal industry.  It was through that process that he recognized the need and potential for processing other feedstocks such as manures, biosolids and other organic wastes.  The result is Earthcare’s patented gasification technology that has been deployed in organics management solutions both in the United States and throughout the world to process a variety of organic feedstocks.  Through his experience, Mike has also developed a trademarked biochar product, EcocharTM (www.ecochar.org), which has a variety of environmental applications including fertilization, soil amendments, animal bedding, odor control and water filtration.

Mike serves as Earthcare Solutions, LLC’s Chief Executive Officer where he leads the company’s strategic, project development and operational efforts and assumes an active role throughout the project delivery process.  Mike also serves in a key technical role in adapting Earthcare’s proven gasification technology to a variety of feedstocks and waste-to-energy applications.  He works tirelessly to address the waste management issues of the company’s clients ranging from agricultural to municipal concerns.
