Rich began his career in public accounting and consulting as a tax partner with a regional CPA firm with a specific client focus in the A/E/C industry. During this 20-year tenure he provided corporate and individual tax planning and compliance services to clients throughout the U.S. He has specific expertise in the area of tax credits and incentives including the Federal R&D credit, Section 179D green building tax deductions and other energy-related incentives. Rich has extensive experience in the valuation of a variety of closely-held businesses with a specific concentration with A/E/C firms where he has valued more than 400 closely-held firms for internal ownership transition, M&A and estate and gift tax purposes. He has held the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) credential through the AICPA, the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential through NACVA and is also a Certified Design Accountant (CDA). More recently, Rich serves as the Chief Financial Officer for an ENR Top 500 design firm. As Earthcare Solutions, LLC’s Director of Finance, Rich brings his tax, finance and valuation experience to the project development process and is directly responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
