The gasification system was installed by Coaltec at the end of 2016. Located in Orleans, Indiana, the farm produces chickens, turkeys, and swine, and the gasification system receives manures from all three sources as well as their mortality compost. This facility has operated 24 hours a day, 5 days a week for approximately one year, with extended idle periods due to manpower issues and the installation of a biofilter. The customer has the greatest need for the char being produced and has used it in their barns for moisture and ammonia control, and on their crop lands to increase yields. This system was also designed to produce power. The power generation system is installed but has not become operational yet. However, the system is still able to process manures and produce a good quality char. Current production is approximately 10 tons of Echochar™ per day, resulting in 3,500 tons per year if operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
